For this month’s employee spotlight, we introduce you to Jessica Barber, the glue that helps hold this whole operation together! Jessica wears many hats here at forbinfi as our skillful Administrative Specialist. Let’s take a deep dive into all the awesome work she does!

What is your role at forbinfi and what do you do? I am the Administrative Specialist who wears many hats, juggling AR/AP duties, purchasing, reports and record management across all three industries: Healthcare, Managed IT and Financial.   

How long have you been with the company, and what initially attracted you to this role? I have been with VGM, our parent company, for 17 years and forbinfi for 2 ½ years. I jumped at the opportunity to be part of the forbinfi team. I enjoy working behind the scenes and helping wherever I can and, of course, working alongside some pretty awesome people!

What do you like to do outside of work? I have two kids, an 11-year-old and 5-year-old, they keep me busy, but I do enjoy cooking, crafting and spending time with my family. Can cleaning be a hobby?! 

What’s the first concert you ever attended? Anybody remember 98 Degrees? 

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Do I have to pick just one? A Greek salad with chicken! 

If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why? The Speed of light so I can get things done in record time! 

What is something you think financial institutions should know based on your expertise? 

It’s important for banks to focus on delivering and building customer experiences to build trust and loyalty. This involves understanding customer needs, preferences, and behaviors to design personalized products and services that meet their in-person and online banking needs! 

Why do you choose to work with community banks? 

Community banks are essential to our communities. They give back in many ways, such as volunteering, supporting local events, schools, charities, and other initiatives. It's crucial that we support them in return. I'm proud to be part of an organization that embraces this commitment.
