In this edition of our Employee Spotlight series, we’d like to shine the spotlight on Mallory Wohlford. As our Process Lead II at forbinfi, she facilitates communication between internal and external teams, ensuring that projects move forward smoothly from inception to completion. Get to know more about Mallory personally and professionally! 

What is your role at forbinfi and what do you do? 

My role is the Process Lead for the Web Development Team! My primary responsibilities include communication with both internal and external teams to keep projects moving from start to finish. 

How long have you been with the company?  

I’ve been with forbinfi since the end of 2020. 

What is your background and experience with financial institutions?  

I started with forbinfi as the Customer Care Specialist, which really threw me into the thick of the company and all the different teams/products we offer. I ended up really enjoying solving problems, communicating with all these people, and decided the tech world was the place to be! forbinfi gave me a shot at leading projects rather than working with smaller updates and fixes that came through the queue, and I haven’t looked back. 

What skills or experiences from previous roles have been most valuable in your current position?  

Customer Care gave me an incredible base knowledge of our website clientele and product/service offerings – you tend to catch on quickly when you receive questions and concerns from every type of client we serve! Never underestimate the power of a well-written email. 

What do you like to do outside of work?  

Outside of work I really enjoy going outside and spending time with friends and family. I play disc golf and go for walks when the weather permits, otherwise you can find me with a good book, movie, or destroying my loved ones at board games. 

Fun Fact about Mallory 

What’s one item you can’t live without?  
I cannot live without sticky notes, both professionally and personally! There are sticky notes all over my apartment with lists, reminders, and fun notes. 

What is something you think financial institutions should know based on your expertise?   

Trust in the professionals! forbinfi is a full team of knowledgeable and capable individuals who are excited to help your website grow and drive traffic. 

Why do you choose to work with community banks?  

I grew up in Small Town, Iowa, so there’s always been a special place in my heart for community banks. They’re passionate about what they do and the people they serve – can’t get better than that!
