In this edition of our Employee Spotlight series, we’re excited to introduce Taylor Rettig, an Account Manager at forbinfi, whose dedication and expertise have been instrumental in fostering strong relationships with our financial clients.

Taylor’s passion for his work is evident in his commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of each financial institution he works with. He takes pride in connecting clients with the innovative products and services that forbinfi offers, ensuring their website and marketing strategies are more than effective.

What is your role at forbinfi and what do you do?

As an Account Manager at forbinfi, my primary role is to assist our financial institutions with their website and marketing needs. I started as a Process Lead six years ago, primarily handling our financial clients, and used that experience to move into the Account Manager role. I love working with our financial institutions to match their needs with the great products and services we offer here at forbinfi.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family (wife Jessica and 3 kids ages 4-10) and staying active with them. I’m a part-time baseball, t-ball, and football coach, which is great because I grew up immersed in sports. I enjoy running, along with biking, kayaking, and camping.... but running is about all I have time for right now.

What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?

I’ve always wanted to experience MLB Spring Training, which works out well because I’m headed to Mesa, AZ for Spring Training 2024 to watch the Cubs.

What is something you think financial institutions should know based on your expertise?

The one tip I would give to FIs when considering their website or marketing is to think about what their customers or prospective customers think is important, and not necessarily what they think is important. There can certainly be some overlap here, as FIs know their customers best, but try not to let personal opinion/preferences get in the way of UX best-practices or analytics.

Why do you choose to work with community banks?

All the community banks we work with have a common theme: they are invested in the communities they serve. I grew up in a small town and remember our local bank grilling burgers and serving ice cream once every summer to show their appreciation to their customers. The community banks that I get to work with every day take that same approach to their communities and support their customers, schools, and local businesses as part of their daily work.
